In the lead up to the release of the first season of the live-action version of ONE PIECE, Wild Tame was commissioned by Netflix to capture the moment when lead actor Iñaki Godoy, who plays protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, met ONE PIECE creator and legendary manga artist Eiichiro Oda.
Wild Tame returned to Oda-sensei’s studio a few weeks later to film a special announcement for ONE PIECE fans worldwide. The project exemplified our sensitivity to context and people: filming respectfully within the personal space of a famously busy artist, while acting as a cultural bridge between overseas talent and crew and local teams in Japan.
Beyond filming, we also supported the project through pre-production creative brainstorming, prop creation, logistics, and post-production, helping ensure the moment was handled with care from start to finish.
