Wild Tame was commissioned by Netflix to shoot a series of interviews at the legendary anime studio Production I.G.
Founded in 1987, Production I.G is one of Japan’s most influential animation studios, known for landmark works such as Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass, and Haikyuu!!.
The interviews were produced in support of the release of Terminator Zero, a significant new chapter in the long-running Terminator franchise and its first-ever anime adaptation. Created for Netflix, the series brings the world of Terminator into a distinctly Japanese animation context.
Interviewees included series creator Mattson Tomlin, actor Rosario Dawson, character designer Masashi Kudō, and members of the Production I.G animation team. Aside from the technical production apsect, our role was to facilitate bilingual conversations on the collaboration, creative challenges, and how the team approached this reinterpretation of an iconic franchise.
