About

The arrival of generative AI has brought significant disruption to the creative industry. In particular, the pace of improvement in AI video has been unlike anything we’ve seen before—advancing faster than any previous production technology, and reshaping what’s possible in real time.

Wild Tame’s approach has been thoughtful and considered. In 2023, as generative video began to move beyond novelty and into something creatively viable, we hired our first GenAI specialist and began actively experimenting, prototyping, and stress-testing the tools. Our goal wasn’t to chase trends, but to understand where the technology could genuinely support better creative work.

By participating in GenAI competitions, closely tracking platform developments, and continually experimenting with emerging models, we’ve stayed at the leading edge of a rapidly evolving field. The reel above was created in mid-2025 using Runway Gen-4—a model that has already been surpassed by newer systems, illustrating just how quickly this space moves.

Today, we use GenAI in two primary ways:

  • Pre-production exploration
Generative video allows us to create moving storyboards and mockups early in the process, helping us test ideas, pacing, and narrative flow before full production begins. Previously, this stage was limited to still images.
  • Selective use in final outputs
In limited and transparent ways, we’ve begun incorporating GenAI-generated assets into finished work. Recent examples include photo-realistic animations of professional volleyball athletes wearing samurai armor, a large-scale corporate video for a major financial institution at the Osaka Expo, and multiple social assets for a global automotive brand.

We always adhere to clear disclosure policies when GenAI is used.

As generative tools continue to evolve, they will become increasingly embedded in the creative process. But regardless of the technology, it’s still human insight, taste, and intention that shape meaningful stories. Tools may change quickly; ideas, care, and clarity remain essential.
